Spiritual Charism
Pope John Paul II High School is an educational institution of the Diocese of Palm Beach whose spirituality is animated by the charisms of the Carmelite and Dominican religious communities.

The Carmelites of the North American Province of St. Elias provided the pastoral leadership of Pope John Paul II High School from the founding of the school in 1980 until the spring of 2007. The Carmelite tradition continues through the living out of the Carmelite spirit. The Carmelite chrism focuses on following Jesus Christ through contemplation, community, prophetic service and presence in the spirit of Mary and Elijah. Each year, the members of the Junior Class receive the Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as a reminder to live life as the Blessed Mother did, a life of complete love and total surrender to God.

The Adrian Dominican Sisters from Adrian, Michigan have also served at Pope John Paul II High School since 1981 and continue to do so. The Dominican chrism focuses especially on the ministry of preaching and teaching; communicating the Word of God through word, style of life and manner of service.
