Campus Ministry
Christ Jesus invites all people to come to the well where He gives living water.  In conjunction with the Dominican Sisters, the School Chaplains, the Deacons, and the Religious Studies Department, the Campus Ministry Program at Pope John Paul II High School seeks to respond to the spiritual needs of our students, families, administration, faculty and staff with the hope of leading them toward accepting Jesus'  invitation.

The spiritual life of the campus is a rich reality with the purpose of developing the virtues of love, hope, and charity.  This can only be achieved through the Holy Spirit, in concert with a dedicated approach that involves students, parents, faculty, and staff.  Pope John Paul II High School has a variety of activities to help encourage the work of the Holy Spirit.  The following are examples of how our school puts faith into action:
  • Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
  • Observance of Holy Days of Obligation
  • Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Class Retreats
  • Senior Kairos Retreat Program
  • Comprehensive Religious Education for All Grades
  • Sacrament of Confession available to All Students
  • Prayers Offered at the Start of Each Day and Each Class
  • Service to the Poor and Needy
  • Prayerful Chapel Available for Students, Parents, and Faculty
  • School witnessed by dedicated Priests, Deacons, Sisters, and Laity
It is our policy to accept each individual where they are on their faith journey.  Experiences are designed to deepen and foster an individual's relationship with the Lord and promote a sense of Christian community.

The objectives of the Campus ministry Program are to:
  • To instill a sense of mission and concern for others at school and in the larger community.
  • To help the students become aware of the Gospel experience in their lives.
  • To build up the community of faith.
  • To join together in prayer and worship.
The Director of Campus Ministry coordinates the spiritual development programs required to accomplish these objectives.  Some of the programs include:
  • Pastoral Counseling
  • Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Class Retreats
  • Kairos Retreat Program for Seniors
  • Community Service Program
  • Student Involvement within the school community and their own parish community
  • Liturgy Planning Committee
