Prayer Intentions

We ask everyone to please pray for the repose of the soul of Joan, Mrs. Ruth Birkmann's daughter, who passed away on Friday, October 7th after a long illness. Please pray for Ruth, and her whole family, and especially for Joan's husband and their two children. Joan was the aunt of Andrew and Bradley Birkmann (freshmen at Pope John Paul II High School).

We ask everyone to please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Frace Mungai, who died on Saturday, October 8th from a brain hemorrage. She was the grandmother of Raymond, Patrick, Grace, and Catherine Austin, all alumni of Pope John Paul II High School. The wake is Wednesday, October 12th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home on the corner of Federal Highway and George Bush Boulevard in Delray Beach.

We ask everyone to please pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Raymond (Ted) Saxon. Ted was a much-loved, 29-year veteran teacher at Pope John Paul II High School. He died at home, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness and will be buried in Ohio. Please keep Mr. Saxon and his family in your prayers. We ask everyone to please pray for the Demes Family, Deacon Dennis and Mrs. Susan Demes and their children. Their son,Robbie (Robert) Demes (Class of 2004), passed away on June 6, 2010. Robbie was one of the five Demes siblings to graduate from PJPII: Michael in 1995, Jeannette in 1996,Robbie in 2004, Nicholas in 2006, and Dianna in 2007. Deacon Dennis Deacon served at PJPII for many years as a Religious Studies Teacher and the Chairperson of the Religious Studies Department. Mrs. Susan Demes is the Assistant Principal at St. Juliana's School and the Director of Religious Education at Ascension Parish.

We ask everyone to please pray for Daniel (Class of 1993) and his wife, Jen, and their children. Their five year old son, Kevin, is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor.

We ask everyone to please continue to pray for Billy Maggio (Class of 2001). It was recently discovered that the cancer he had previously has returned. Please keep Billy and his family in your prayers.
