The Department of Fine and Performing Arts welcomes you to our web page. We would like to share with you some of our students’ outstanding achievements, as well as photographs of their artistic creations and performances, and upcoming events in our department.
Our department has the good fortune of having our achievements quite visible to all, whether it is in the form of a beautiful painting, a well-crafted TV Production, or an inspiring musical show.
Deacon Sam Barbaro brings many years of experience to the classroom, with his extensive background in broadcasting and communications. Teaching television production and many aspects of the creative process of writing, as well as producing video projects of substance, are but a few of the many facets of his role at our school.
Mr. Vince Castellano has developed a wonderful, award-winning drama program. His students have received numerous high-level awards in Thespians and One Act competitions and his musicals have won multiple cappies nominations and awards.
In the visual arts, Ms. Judy Swerlick's students have many opportunities to explore various new techniques and media, as well as have their beautiful drawings and paintings exhibited around the school. Among our art students, we have had winners of the Scholastic Art Awards, the Pathfinders Awards, and the Congressional Art Competition.
We are proud of our students and their achievements! Under the guidance of our dedicated faculty members, our students thrive and gain confidence, and some will find their life's passion and career. Please take time to enjoy the photographs of our Fine and Performing Arts.
