Components of a College Application
Students should always follow the college’s instructions and requirements for completing their application package. However, a complete application package will usually include the following:
  • The application.
  • The application fee - made payable to the college.
  • Essays - Colleges may or may not require an essay. Check the requirements of the college.
  • Resume of accomplishments, activities, etc. of your high school career is strongly recommended.
  • Letters of Recommendation from teachers, priests, employers, etc.
  • Official transcript of the student’s high school academic record - may be obtained from the Guidance office.
If your student has any questions, or concerns about their application package, they are encouraged to meet with their Guidance Counselor.
