College Admission Considerations
There are eight factors College Admissions Officers generally consider when deciding on admissions. The order of importance and the weight they place on the decision differ from college to college.
  • Grade Point Average and difficulty of course(s) taken.
  • SAT or ACT test scores.
  • Class Rank.
  • Essays.
  • Letters of Recommendation as required by the college.
  • Extracurricular activities, employment, community service and resume.
  • Interview (not done too often).
  • Intangibles.
